FAQs
Who is your parent company? When and where was your parent
company founded? Where can I find current
financial or investor data about the parent company? When was CPUSA founded? What is your mailing address
and general phone number? What are CPUSA's therapeutic areas of focus? CPUSA shares the therapeutic focus areas of Chugai. We emphasize development of innovative medicines in the areas of Cardiovascular Disease, Bone/Joint Disease, Oncology, Immunology/Inflamation, Diabetes and Infectious Disease. This said, however, we maintain a flexible strategy and will consider development of significant products in any area of unmet medical need. For example, we currently are developing promising compounds in the areas of Gastrointestinal Disease. What is the relationship between CPUSA and Roche? The relationship between Roche and Chugai is actually quite simple. Chugai Pharmaceutical Company, Ltd, the parent company of CPUSA in Tokyo, is a publicly traded company in Japan. Roche is the major shareholder of Chugai stock in Japan, holding %50.1 of outstanding shares. CPUSA, on the other hand, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chugai. Because we have Roche as a major shareholder, Chugai and its subidiaries, including CPUSA, are considered part of the Roche group. Roche, however, does not exercise any daily operational control over Chugai or CPUSA. |
